After only offering white and space gray, Apple is expanding the range of color options for its HomePod mini smart speaker.

In addition to the existing space gray and white versions, Apple has also added three new colors for HomePod mini buyers to choose from. In addition to the new color scheme of small smart speakers, Apple recently introduced M1-powered MacBook Pro laptops and new AirPods 3 earbuds. Thanks to Apple's new internal processors M1 Pro and M1 Max, the former is the most noteworthy update of the MacBook Pro series over the years.

"Unleashed" is the second major hardware event held by Apple in a few months after the "California Streaming" event in September, where the company launched its iPhone 13 series. In the same event, Apple also introduced the latest iPad series, which includes an improved display and a faster processor, as well as many other upgrades. However, the rumored AirPods 3 disappeared during that event, and the company has now solved the problem.

HomePod mini will soon be available in yellow, orange and blue, as well as white and space gray models already on the market. According to Apple, the new color is priced at $99 and will be available in November, just in time for the holiday shopping season. These devices retain the same shape and hardware, the only difference is the new color scheme. HomePod mini will also be compatible with Apple Music's new Siri-focused voice plan, which is priced at $4.99 per month. As for the new colors, they all look more eye-catching, more vibrant, and more vibrant than the existing colors, so buyers will be able to choose the color that best suits their style or home decoration.

The bright new colors of HomePod mini are part of Apple's new focus on personalized aesthetics to appeal to a wider audience. After initially sticking to tried-and-tested options such as white, black, and gray, the company has been introducing multiple color options for the iPhone in the past few years. For example, the latest iPhone series has a variety of colors to choose from, including midnight, starlight, pink, blue and (product) red for iPhone 13 and iPhone 13 mini, while iPhone 13 Pro and Pro Max models offer Graphite, silver, gold and mountain blue. However, there is no price difference between the color-based variants.

HomePod mini runs on the Apple S5 chip, which the company claims can optimize loudness, adjust dynamic range, and control the movement of drivers and passive radiators in real time. Apple also added lossless audio support to HomePod and HomePod mini earlier this year as part of the launch of HomePod Software 15 provided with iOS 15. Also earlier this year, Apple's smart speaker series received new ultra-wideband support, although the feature is really only useful for those who have iPhone 11, 12 or 13.
