2022-07-09 10:55:13 By : Mr. Aaron Cai

CLEVELAND , June 16, 2022 /PRNewswire/ -- The sizable stock of substandard housing units in the Asia/Pacific and Africa /Mideast regions – which together account for over 75% of the world's population – presents a significant growth opportunity for the foamed plastic insulation industry, according to a new Freedonia Group analysis.

Governments in a number of developing countries in these areas – particularly India – are working to improve housing quality, including through the adoption of minimum insulation requirements. Additionally, foamed plastic insulation sales in these countries will be driven by:

improving income levels and standards of living in developing countries

rural-to-urban migration, leading to increased construction in urban areas, where buildings generally use more insulation than those in rural areas

rapidly expanding nonresidential building construction markets

India to Register Fastest Demand Growth of Any Major Country Through 2025

Demand for foamed plastic insulation in India is expected to rise at the fastest rate of increase of any major country through 2025, finds the Freedonia Group analysis. Market expansion will be bolstered by:

rising standards of living and improving construction practices

the strongest anticipated growth in both residential and nonresidential building construction activity of any major country through 2025

robust gains in the production of appliances, transportation, and industrial and plant equipment

In particular, rigid PUR and PIR are projected to post robust demand increases through 2025, bolstered by strong gains in appliance production.

Global Foamed Plastic Insulation, now available from the Freedonia Group, provides historical data (2010, 2015, and 2020) and forecasts for 2025 and 2030 for foamed plastic insulation demand by product (in dollars and metric tons) and market (metric tons and square meters R-1). Demand in value terms is shown at the manufacturers' level and excludes distributor and retailer markups.

expanded polystyrene (EPS), including graphite polystyrene

It's been a rough six months for most S&P 500 investors. But if you think that's bad, try owning a money-losing stock for a decade.

Shares of the clinical-stage biotech Oramed Pharmaceuticals (NASDAQ: ORMP) were up by a staggering 41.6% as of 3:30 p.m. ET on Friday afternoon. To put this surge in volume into the proper context, the average daily volume for Oramed's stock over the prior 30-day period has been less than 900,000 shares. Over the last 12 months, Oramed's stock has attracted short sellers in droves, thanks to the global turmoil in financial markets, the drawdown across clinical-stage biotech stocks, geopolitical unrest, and rising interest rates.

The chip maker has consistently released market-leading chips on schedule, spending a fraction of rival Intel’s budget on research and development.

Fight back against inflation. This is how Dalio does it.

Intel is far from its position as investors' favorite semiconductor stock. It may pay a 3.9% dividend yield and trade at less than seven times last year's earnings, but that doesn't paint the full picture. In the semiconductor world, we've seen a massive correction as investors fear a global recession.

Should we still trust the Fed? This bigwig has serious concerns.

Now the Energy Select Sector SPDR Fund (XLE) and the SPDR S&P Oil & Gas Exploration & Production (XOP) exchange-traded funds (ETFs) are down 27% to 36% from their 2022 peaks – official bear-market territory. Now three factors suggest another strong move ahead for energy names, believes Cook: decent underlying fundamentals, good valuations and solid cash flows. Goldman Sachs predicts large-cap energy stocks will gain 30% or more through the end of the year and that its buy-rated stocks could be up 40% or more.

A soaring market helped retirement account balances reach new heights in 2021. That might not be the case this year.

Shares of Digital World Acquisition Corp. were rocketing 17% in after-hours trading Friday after Tesla Inc. Chief Executive Elon Musk said he was terminating his $44 billion deal for Twitter Inc. . Digital World is a special-purpose acquisition corporation buying the company that operates President Donald Trump's Truth Social business, which bills itself as a social network that "encourages an open, free, and honest global conversation without discriminating on the basis of political ideology."

Call it the “Yes, but” stock market. Yes, but...it’s hard to understand why the market reacted so enthusiastically to the week’s news. Investors entered the week hoping, if not for a recession, then for at least some signs that the economy is slowing enough to keep the Federal Reserve from aggressively raising interest rates further.

Shares of Warren Buffett’s conglomerate have beaten the market so far this year, but they underperformed in June.

Question: What is an appropriate wealth management rate? Answer: In the financial industry, there are many different types of fee structures, which means fees are not standard across all financial advisers. “A financial adviser who charges based on assets under management usually charges around a 1% fee yearly, however, the 1% management fee may fluctuate based on a person’s total amount of assets,” says certified financial planner Danielle Miura of Founder-Spark Financials.
